Does credit reporting cost the tenant anything?

Reporting typically requires an active subscription — check current pricing in the product, since the tenant or landlord may be responsible for it depending on how it’s configured. Nothing is charged for it while the feature is pending a bureau.

From the guide Rent-Payment Credit Reporting.

Recorded, pending a bureau

No rent-payment information is being sent to any credit bureau today. Seayora holds no data-furnisher agreement with Equifax, Experian, TransUnion or anyone else, and the feature is switched off across the platform. If you opt in, we record your consent and build your settled-payment history so it is ready to be reported — and every screen says, in those words, that it is recorded and pending a bureau. Nothing leaves Seayora.

When an agreement is signed we’ll name the bureaus and the furnishing partner in the Privacy Policy before anything is sent, and we’ll ask you to confirm your consent against that named partner rather than relying on a consent you gave to an unnamed one. The rest of this article describes how it will work then.

A tenant can opt into rent reporting and Seayora records that consent. Payments are not yet furnished to any credit bureau, so nothing is reported today and no score changes.
