Applying Together: Co-Applicants and Guarantors
Roommates, partners and guarantors apply for one home together: the lead invites them by email, each accepts from their own account and is screened as themselves, and the approved household signs the lease.
A household is a group of people applying for one home together — roommates, a couple, or an applicant and their guarantor. One person leads; everyone else joins by invitation.
Everyone in a household applies as themselves: each person accepts the invitation from their own Seayora account and has their own application, so each adult is approved and screened individually. Guarantors are screened too.
For applicants
- Apply for the home yourself first. Then open Your applications → Applying together on the website, or Applying together in the Tools hub on the iPhone and Android apps.
- Invite someone by email, as a co-applicant (somebody who will live there) or a guarantor (somebody who backs the lease). A household holds up to 5 people besides you.
- They get an email. They accept from the Seayora account that uses that address — signing up with it if they do not have one yet. An invitation lasts 30 days.
- You can withdraw an invitation, or remove somebody who joined, at any time before the lease.
If you were invited
- Your invitations are under Your applications → Applying together → Invitations for you, and under Household invitations on the phones.
- Joining gives you an application of your own for the home, linked to the lead's. Fill in your own details there; the landlord sees it, approves it and screens it on its own.
- Leaving or being removed keeps the person's own application — it is simply no longer part of the household.
For owners and managers
The Applicants page shows each household together — who leads it, who joined as a co-applicant or guarantor, who has not answered — under Applying together, and under the same name in the Tools hub on the phones. Every member's application is still its own row in your applicant list, approved, screened and decided individually.
When the lead's lease is drafted, the household's approved co-applicants are added as co-tenants and its guarantors as guarantors, to sign it.
Statuses

| Withdrawn | The lead withdrew the invitation, removed them, or they left. |
| Expired | Nobody answered within 30 days. |
Asking your assistant
A connected assistant can read the households applying to your homes (list_application_households). Inviting, joining and leaving stay in Seayora, because each is a decision by the person whose application it is.
