Feature Access on Your Account

How Seayora can switch a feature off, make it read only, turn it on early or limit how often it is used for one account — what you see, what assistants are told, and what is never switched off.

Seayora can switch parts of the product on or off for one account, or make them read only — down to a single tab or screen in the app. It is how a feature is held back for an account that does not need it yet, how a group of accounts in a pilot gets something early, and how a part of Seayora is paused for one account while something is looked into. Nothing on your account is deleted by any of it, and switching a feature back on puts everything back exactly as it was.

The three levels

LevelWhat it means for you
OffYou cannot open it.
Read onlyYou can open it and read everything in it, and change nothing.
Full accessYou can read it and change it — the way every account starts.

A tool a connected assistant uses is simply on or off.

What can be set

  • Screens and tabs: Every tab and screen in the apps and on the website. Off hides it from the account's navigation on all three, and opening it by link says it is switched off. What the screen reads and changes is controlled under Product areas.
  • Product areas: The main parts of Seayora: messages, the portfolio, leasing, work, money and the rest.
  • Newer areas: Areas added more recently. An administrator can also pause each one for everybody in Feature controls.
  • Assistants and API: What Claude, ChatGPT and other connected apps, API keys and the in-app assistant may do on this account. Each assistant tool can also be turned off on its own.
  • AI features: Every AI feature, one by one, and a switch for all of them. How much AI the account may use is set under AI usage.

Each kind of account has a default — what a new tenant, landlord, management company or contractor account gets. An account can also be part of a group that gets something early, or later, and can have settings of its own. Unless Seayora has changed something, every account has full access to everything its account type offers.

AI on your account

Seayora can switch every AI feature off for an account, or one AI feature at a time, and can set how many AI requests an account may make in a day or how much AI it may use in a month. When a limit is reached, the AI feature answers that it is not available rather than guessing, and everything else keeps working.

How often a feature can be used

Seayora can also set a usage limit on a feature: up to a number of uses a minute, an hour or a day. A limit counts one of two things:

  • Changes — only what changes something: saving, sending, deleting, booking, paying.
  • Uses — every time it is used, reading included.

A limit can be set for one account, for a group of accounts, or for every account of a type, and an account's own limit comes before its group's or its type's. If you work for a company on Seayora, a limit the company has applies to each person on its team as well. Reaching a limit is a short wait, never a lockout: the feature says the limit has been reached and how long until it can be used again, and everything else keeps working. Tabs and screens are never limited.

What you see when something is off

  • Anything switched off for your account — a tab, a screen, a button or a whole feature — is simply not there, on the website or in the apps. A link to a screen that is switched off opens your dashboard instead.
  • A read-only feature opens normally. In the apps the buttons that would change something are left out; on the website, saving a change shows a message saying it is read only.
  • If calls are switched off for your account there are no call buttons, and nobody else's call rings you: the caller sees that you are busy.
  • If you work for a company on Seayora, anything switched off for the company is switched off for you too.
  • Using a feature past its usage limit shows a message saying the limit has been reached and how long until it can be used again. A connected assistant gets the same answer.
  • A connected assistant, such as Claude or ChatGPT, is told the same thing: a tool that is switched off is not offered to it, and if connected apps are switched off for your account the connection is refused. Reconnecting will not change it.
  • When Seayora changes what your account can use, we email you a few minutes after the last change with what is limited now.

What is never switched off

Some parts of Seayora are always available, whatever is set for an account:

  • The person's own account: signing in, their profile, security, notifications and closing the account. Turning these off would lock somebody out of their own record or stop them leaving.
  • Asking Seayora for help, reporting abuse and telling Seayora what you think must always reach us.
  • The landing screen and the setup checklist. They show figures from areas that are each controlled above, and turning the screen itself off would leave the account with no home page.
  • Public pages and links held by people with no Seayora account — a payment link, a signing link, a public document, a feed, a booking page. The account holder's own access does not decide what somebody they sent a link to can do.

Getting something switched back on

Contact Seayora support from Help in the app or on the website. Only Seayora can change these settings — an account holder cannot, and neither can an employer, who sets what each person on their team may do under Settings → Team.
