Arranging Your Tools & Sections

Reorder, pin and hide the entries in a hub so the three things you actually do are at the top — on every device.

Different accounts use Seayora differently. A landlord with fifteen sections under Operations does not use them equally, and neither does a contractor with nineteen tools. You can put the ones you use at the top and take the ones you never touch out of the way.

Where to find it

  • On the web: the "Arrange" pill at the end of a hub’s section strip.
  • On the iPhone and on Android: "Arrange" at the top of the Tools tab.

What you can do

ActionWhat it does
ReorderMoves an entry up or down. On the iPhone you can drag; elsewhere use the up and down buttons, which also work with a screen reader.
PinLifts an entry into a "Pinned" group at the very top, above every other section.
HideTakes an entry out of the list. Nothing else changes.
ResetPuts everything back in the standard order with nothing hidden.

Changes save as you make them. There is no separate Save button, and no confirmation step to forget.

Hiding is not a permission

Hiding an entry removes it from that list and does nothing else. The page still exists, search still finds it, a link still opens it, and anybody else on the account is unaffected. If you need to actually stop someone reaching something, that is a role and permission question, not a layout one — see Roles & Accounts.

It follows you between devices

The arrangement belongs to your account, not to the device you made it on. Reorder your tools on your phone in the morning and the website opens the same way that afternoon. A layout you had to redo on every device is one nobody keeps up to date.

New features still appear

Anything added to Seayora after you arranged your hub is added to the end of your list rather than being left out. You will never miss a new capability because you tidied up last year.

Frequently asked questions

Does hiding a tool stop other people on my account seeing it?

No. The arrangement is yours alone. Everybody else on the account keeps their own, and hiding changes nothing about what anyone is allowed to do.

Can I still open something I have hidden?

Yes — search finds it, a saved link opens it, and any button elsewhere in the product that points at it still works. Unhide it from the same Arrange screen whenever you like.

What happens to my arrangement if my role changes?

Entries that no longer apply are simply ignored, and the tools your new role brings appear at the end of the list. Nothing breaks and nothing has to be reset.

Why is there no Arrange button on some hubs?

It is offered where there is enough to arrange. On a hub with only two or three entries the control would cost more attention than it saves.
