Your Listing’s Web Address & Local Context
How a Seayora listing gets its web address, why the address can change when the listing does, how old links keep working, and where the “nearby” facts and answers on a listing page come from.
Every published listing has its own page at seayora.com/s/… with a web address built from what the listing is — for example 2-bedroom-apartment-for-rent-in-bushwick-brooklyn-ny. That address is written for the way people actually search, which is what helps the page appear in Google, Bing and AI answer engines.
How the address is built
- Bedrooms and property type come first (“studio-apartment”, “3-bedroom-house”), then “for-rent-in”, then the neighborhood, city and state.
- If another listing already has that exact address, the street is added, then the unit — never random letters.
- Accents and punctuation are simplified so the address is safe to paste anywhere.
When the address changes
If you change one of the facts the address is built from — the bedroom count, the property type, the neighborhood, city or state — the address is rebuilt so it keeps telling the truth. Fixing a typo in the description or changing the rent does not change it.
Every address a listing has ever had keeps working. Anyone who opens an old link, including a search engine or an AI answer engine, is sent straight to the current page with a permanent redirect, so shares, bookmarks and rankings carry over rather than breaking.
Where the “nearby” facts come from
Once a neighborhood has a Seayora neighborhood guide, a listing page shows the transit stops, groceries, parks, schools and other essentials near that address, with walking times measured from the listing itself. These are real places from OpenStreetMap — nothing on that part of the page is invented or written by an AI. The narrative paragraph is written about those facts and is labelled as such.
Your own “nearby transportation” and “points of interest” notes always take precedence. The computed facts fill the gap only when you leave those boxes blank.
The questions and answers on a listing page
Search engines read the Q&A on a listing as structured data. Questions you write yourself come first. Seayora adds answers only for questions it can take straight from the listing — the rent, the deposit, the lease length, pets, laundry, parking, included utilities, the nearest transit — and never for anything it does not know.
Frequently asked questions
Can I choose my listing’s web address myself?
No. The address is derived from the listing’s facts so every listing on Seayora follows the same, search-friendly pattern. Changing the facts changes the address; every previous address redirects to the current one.
Will changing the rent change my listing’s address?
No. Only the bedroom count, property type, neighborhood, city and state feed the address. Rent, photos, description and availability leave it alone.
I shared my old link — is it broken now?
No. Old links are redirected permanently to the current page. Search engines treat that redirect as “this page moved”, so rankings carry over.
Why does my listing not show any nearby places?
The facts come from the Seayora neighborhood guide for that area, which is built the first time a listing is published there. If your neighborhood is new to Seayora, the guide is built shortly after you publish and the facts appear on the next refresh of your listing.
