Opening Your Payout Account

The application that lets you be paid — what it asks for, where it happens, and why Seayora never sees your SSN or bank number.

Before rent or an invoice can reach your bank, our payment processor has to know who you are and who it is paying. That is one application, and it usually takes a few minutes.

It happens on the processor’s own page, not on ours

When you start the application, Seayora opens a secure page run by our payment processor. You fill it in there and come straight back. That is deliberate, and it is better for you: the form asks for a Social Security number, a date of birth and a bank account number, and on that page those go directly to the processor. They never touch Seayora’s servers, so there is nothing of yours for us to store, log or lose.

It is also where the identity check happens — a photo of your government ID and a selfie, taken with whatever device you are on. A phone is usually the easier choice for that step, and the application works the same on all three.

What it asks for

 • Your business: legal name, structure, address, what you do, and your EIN (or your SSN if you are a sole proprietor).
 • You: name, date of birth, home address and title.
 • Anyone who owns 25% or more of the business, if that is not just you.
 • A photo of your ID and a selfie.
 • The bank account you want to be paid into.

We prefill what you have already told us — your name, email, phone, company and address — so you are not retyping it. Everything else is yours to enter on the processor’s page.

You can stop and come back

Your progress saves as you go, step by step. If you close the tab, run out of time or lose the link, open your payment settings and press Continue my application — you get a fresh link and pick up where you stopped. Nothing you already filled in is lost.

Links expire after about a week, on purpose: the form holds your SSN and your bank details, and anyone with the link can open it. For the same reason we never email you one — you always get it by pressing the button while signed in.

After you submit

 • The processor reviews the application. This is usually done inside a business day.
 • Your payment settings show the status the whole time, and we email you when there is an answer.
 • Sometimes the processor asks for one more thing — a clearer photo, a document. That shows up as "More information needed" with what it wants.
 • Once approved, rent and invoices settle into the account you gave, and your annual PCI attestation is issued (see Your Annual PCI Attestation).

"Submitted" and "approved" are different things, and Seayora shows them separately. An application that is in but not yet approved cannot collect money yet.

Frequently asked questions

Why am I sent to another website to do this?

Because that is what keeps your SSN and bank number away from us. On the processor’s own page those details go straight to the processor; Seayora never receives them. The identity check (ID photo and selfie) also runs there.

I closed the tab halfway through. Do I start again?

No. Progress saves per step. Open your payment settings and press Continue my application for a fresh link — you resume where you stopped.

My link expired. Is my application gone?

No. Only the link expires. Get a new one from your payment settings; the application itself is untouched.

Can I do this on my phone?

Yes, and it is often easier — the identity check wants a camera. The Seayora app opens the same secure page.

Why does it ask about people who own 25% of the business?

Financial regulations require the processor to identify beneficial owners at that threshold. If you are the sole owner, there is nobody else to add.

How long until I am approved?

Usually inside a business day. We email you either way, and the status is on your payment settings the whole time.

Can I change my payout bank account later?

Yes — from your payment settings. Changes apply to future payouts; an in-flight payout usually completes to the previous account first.
