Sales reps — your accounts, your pipeline and what you are paid

How a Seayora sales rep is paid: the commission plan, what counts as profit, how an account is attributed to you, what a statement is, and every screen in the rep portal on the web, iPhone and Android.

A sales rep works for Seayora, brings new landlords, management companies and service pros onto the platform, and is paid a share of what Seayora makes from them. This article is the whole arrangement: how you are paid, what counts, how an account becomes yours, and what each screen does.

Your rep account is created by Seayora — you cannot sign yourself up as one — and the portal is the same on the website, the iPhone app and the Android app.

Becoming a rep

You cannot sign yourself up as a rep — a Seayora administrator creates the account. If you are not one yet and want to be, the application is at seayora.com/apply/sales-rep: about fifteen minutes, a resume, and a few questions in your own words. It asks nothing about your age, your citizenship, your criminal history or what you were paid in a previous job, and a background check is not part of applying. You get a reference number and an answer either way.

How you are paid

Your plan is a list of phases. A typical one reads: 75% for the first six months, then 10% with no end date. Each phase has a rate and a length; only the last one can run indefinitely. Plan & costs shows yours in words, as phases, and every version it has ever been on.

  • You are normally paid on PROFIT, not on what a customer paid. Profit is what Seayora collected from your account in the month, less what collecting it cost — the processor’s fees on those payments, the processor’s monthly charge for that account, third-party costs that account caused, and anything Seayora waived for them.
  • A card surcharge the customer pays is not income and is not a cost. It comes off the cost of collecting that payment, so a fee the customer carries never counts as money Seayora made.
  • Your window starts either the day the account is attributed to you or the day it first paid Seayora anything — whichever your plan says. Earnings shows which, and the exact last day each phase pays.
  • Some plans carry a monthly cap per account. No cap is the normal setting, and it is shown as "None" rather than as a zero.

Money is counted when it SETTLES, not when it was paid. A card payment on the 30th that settles on the 2nd belongs to the month it settled in, which is why the current month shows three figures: settled so far, in flight, and still scheduled.

How an account becomes yours

HowWhat happens
Your referral link or codeSomeone opens seayora.com/ref/<your code> and creates an account — or signs up in the Seayora app and types your code under “Have a referral code?” on the last screen — and it is attributed to you. If Seayora reviews link sign-ups, it waits for approval first.
A claimThey signed up without your link. Open My accounts → Claim an account, give their email and say how you brought them in. Seayora approves it or explains why not.
Seayora assigns itAn administrator attributes an account to you directly — a handover, a territory, a house account.

One rep at a time is paid for an account. Terms are recorded on the account when it is attributed, so a later change to your plan does not silently move accounts you already have — Seayora decides whether a plan change reaches them, and you are emailed either way.

Tenants are never attributed. Only landlords, management companies and service pros are accounts a rep is paid for.

The screens

  • Dashboard — what this month is projected to be worth, what is settled, what is on its way, your targets, your book, and who owes a follow-up.
  • My accounts — every account attributed to you, its window, and what it has earned you this month. Open one to see every payment, what it cost, the profit, the rate and your share, plus its last six months.
  • Leads — the businesses you are working. Add one, log every call, set the next follow-up, and mark it won or lost. Marking it won claims the account in the same step.
  • Campaigns — what Seayora is pushing, who it is for, what to say, the offer, the approved assets, and your own progress against its targets.
  • Playbook — who to sell to and how, objections and answers, outreach templates with your name and link already in them, and the live price list.
  • Referral link — your link, your code, a QR code to show somebody, and everyone who has signed up through it.
  • Earnings — any month, line by line: fees, costs, profit, the rate each account was on, your commission, then adjustments, clawbacks, anything carried forward, and what is payable.
  • Statements — each month Seayora has finalized, and when it was paid.
  • Estimator — what a prospect would make Seayora and what it would earn you, at published prices.
  • Plan & costs — your plan, your targets, how profit is worked out, and every version of your plan.

Statements, clawbacks and being paid

After a month ends, Seayora waits for bank returns to land and then finalizes it. Finalizing freezes that month: the lines are written down and the figure cannot move again. You are emailed when it is issued and again when it is paid.

  • If money you were paid on comes BACK later — a bank return, a refund — it appears as a clawback on the next open month, matched to the exact payment it reverses.
  • If a month works out negative, it carries forward rather than becoming a debt you owe.
  • Adjustments Seayora makes — a bonus, a correction — appear on your statements with the reason.
  • Seayora does not move your money through the platform. "Paid" is Seayora recording the payment it made through payroll or a transfer, with the date and reference.

A month Seayora could not read in full is never finalized. If part of it could not be checked, the screen says which part rather than showing a smaller number.

What you may say to a prospect

The playbook’s prices come from the same place the product charges from, so quoting that page is quoting the invoice. It also lists what is not live yet — a feature that is switched off must not be sold as though it exists, and the page says which those are.
