Rewards for Paying Rent On Time, Using AutoPay and Renewing

How Seayora's rent rewards work: what counts as on time, streaks, the AutoPay reward, renewals, holdbacks and what happens when a payment is returned.

From time to time Seayora runs offers that reward residents for paying rent well. When one is running and you qualify, it appears under Offers & rewards — on the website, the iPhone and the Android app — with exactly what it gives, who it is for and its limits. Only what an offer states is owed.

What can earn a reward

WhenWhat it means
Rent paid on time (each month; carries the streak)A rent charge paid through Seayora on or before its due date — plus the grace days in your lease — once the money has settled. Each month can count, and the offer says how many times it pays.
First rent collected by AutoPayThe first time AutoPay collects your rent and the payment settles. Once per account.
Renewal lease fully executedA renewal lease is signed by everyone. Once per renewal.

Streaks

Some offers reward a run of on-time months — three in a row, or twelve. The run counts consecutive on-time charges on your current lease; a late month starts it again. Your share of a split rent counts as your own payment.

What does not count

  • Rent you paid another way — cash, a check, a transfer straight to your landlord. Only rent paid through Seayora can be seen to settle.
  • Installments of a payment plan, and a month a plan took over.
  • A payment that has not settled yet. A bank payment takes a few business days; the reward is decided once the money arrives.

Holdbacks and returns

An offer may hold a reward for a stated number of days before paying it, because a bank can send a settled payment back. If the payment a reward was based on is returned or disputed, the reward is reversed — usually before it was ever paid.

Who pays for it

These rewards are Seayora's own. They do not change the rent you owe, they are not your landlord's promise, and nothing about them is reported to a credit bureau.

For Seayora's operators

In the offers console, choose "Rent paid on time (each month; carries the streak)" as the trigger. As an action reward it pays each on-time month up to the per-member cap and window you set (for example one a month). As a milestone with a threshold it pays when the streak reaches that number — set a per-member cap of 1 so it pays once. "First rent collected by AutoPay" and "Renewal lease fully executed" work with any reward type. Every reward still goes through the offer's audience, caps, budget and holdback.

Asking your assistant

A connected assistant reads offers and rewards through the same tools as before; these are new reasons an offer can pay, not a new kind of record.
