Who pays for the screening report?
The applicant pays it at submission, and the amount is shown before they authorize anything. It is disclosed up front — and while screening is unavailable, it is not charged at all.
From the guide Tenant Screening & Background Checks.
What the applicant provides
The applicant gives their Social Security number, their date of birth and their current address, consents to the check, and pays the fee — all before anything is ordered. The number and the date of birth go straight to the consumer reporting agency; Seayora does not store them.
The applicant’s authorization is shown to them in full, and Seayora keeps those exact words with the time, so there is never a question about what somebody agreed to. If the words change while the applicant has the page open, they are asked to read the new ones before anything is charged.
