Online Booking for Your Business
Give customers a page where they book a visit at a time you have free, or ask for a quote — and confirm each request straight onto your job board and into your books.
Online booking gives your business its own page at seayora.com/book/your-name. A customer chooses one of your services, then either picks a time you have free or describes the job so you can price it, and leaves their name, email, phone and address. You confirm the request, and the visit lands on your job board with the customer added to your books.
Find it on the website under Work → Online booking, and on both phones under Tools → Online booking and Booking requests. You need the Jobs permission to use it.
Setting up your page
- Choose the address — letters, numbers and dashes, such as smith-plumbing. It must be one no other business is using.
- Add at least one service. Each one is either a visit the customer books a time for, with how long it takes, or a quote request for work you price once you have seen it. A "from" price is optional; leave it blank and the page says the job is priced once you have seen it.
- Set the hours you take work on each day of the week, your time zone, how much notice you need before a booking, how far ahead people may book, the time you need between visits, and how many crews can go out at once.
- Optionally list the ZIP codes you work in. Somebody outside them is told you do not work there, and their request is not sent.
- Switch on Take bookings online. Seayora will not switch the page on until it has an address and a service, and says which is missing.
Which times customers see
A time is offered only while fewer visits overlap it than you have crews. Seayora counts everything already on your job board with a scheduled time, not only bookings that came in online, and leaves the gap you set between visits. When a customer sends their request, the time is checked again at that moment, so two people trying for your last free time get one booking and one message asking them to choose another.
Confirming or declining a request
- New requests wait under Requests. Each shows what the customer asked for, when, where, how to reach them, and anything they wrote.
- Confirm a booking and Seayora creates the job at that time, adds the customer to your books (or finds them if they are already there, by email), and emails the customer that they are booked.
- Confirm a quote request with a visit time to go and see the job, or with no time if you will arrange one yourself.
- Decline, optionally with a reason. The customer is emailed, with your reason if you gave one.
- If you switch on Confirm bookings straight away, a booking is confirmed the moment it is made. Quote requests always wait for you.
What the customer gets
Every customer gets an email when they ask, with a private link to see their request. They can cancel from that link up until the time of the visit; you get an alert and an email if they do, and a job nobody has started yet is cancelled on your board. A job already under way is left for you to decide.
Sharing your page
Under Share you will find your page’s link and the code for a "Book online" button for your own website. The button is a plain link that opens your page in a new tab — nothing is embedded in your site. Requests that come through it are marked as coming from your website.
Frequently asked questions
Does a customer need a Seayora account to book?
No. They give their name, email and address on your page. The link in their email is how they see or cancel their request.
Does booking take a payment or a deposit?
No. A booking is a request for a visit. You charge for the work the way you already do — an invoice, a pay link or the card terminal.
What if I am already busy at that time?
Times that overlap jobs already scheduled on your board are not offered, up to the number of crews you set. A job with no scheduled time does not block anything.
Can I stop taking bookings for a while?
Yes. Switch off Take bookings online. Your link then says the page is not open, and requests already made are unaffected.
What happens if I remove a service?
It disappears from your page. Requests already made keep the service’s name. If it was your last service, the page switches itself off, because it would have nothing to offer.
