Does a chargeback mean the money is no longer owed?
A card issuer’s decision is about the card payment. If you believe the amount is still owed, you can contact the customer about paying another way.

A question before a chargeback
American Express and Discover sometimes ask about a payment before opening a chargeback. Seayora shows this as a question from the bank: no money has moved, and a complete answer now usually ends it there. If it becomes a chargeback, the money is put on hold and you are told again.
