Does Seayora collect the housing agency’s payment?

No. The agency pays you exactly as it does today. Seayora records what you tell it arrived, so the month can be checked against what was expected.

From the guide Housing Assistance: Tracking Section 8 and Agency Payments.

What Seayora does not do

  • It does not collect anything from the agency, file anything with it, or move any of this money. The agency still pays you exactly as it does today.
  • It does not change the lease. If the lease bills the resident the whole contract rent while the agency pays part of it, Seayora shows a warning naming the three numbers. Changing what the resident is billed is done in the lease terms, where the change is recorded and the resident is told.
  • It does not send a penalty claim for you. It drafts the letter; you review it and send it yourself.
