Brand your resident portal

Put your company’s logo beside Seayora’s on every resident’s portal — on the website and in both phone apps — with your welcome note and your office’s phone, email and hours.

A property management company can brand the portal its residents use. Your logo appears at the top, to the right of Seayora’s with a thin line between the two, on the website, the iPhone app and the Android app. Your residents also see a card on their home screen with your welcome note and the ways to reach your office. Your own team sees the same logo at the top of your company’s portal, so everyone knows what residents see.

Open Settings → Residents → Resident portal branding on the website, or Settings → Resident portal branding in either phone app. Changing anything here asks for your one-time code first, because the phone number and website you enter are shown to every resident as your company’s own.

Who sees your brand

  • Residents of every home your company manages — any property where your company is the manager, or where your company is the landlord on the lease. It appears as soon as they have a lease, including one still being signed.
  • Everyone on your company’s team.
  • A property owner whose buildings only your company manages. An owner who works with more than one management company sees Seayora on its own, because one company’s logo would be wrong for the other’s buildings.
  • Turning off "Show to residents" hides it from residents and owners at once. Your team still sees it, so you can finish it before anyone else does.

Your logo

  • Upload a PNG, JPEG or WebP image, up to 2 MB, at least 120 pixels tall. A PNG with a transparent background looks best. SVG files are not accepted, because an SVG can carry a script.
  • The logo should be wider than it is tall. Anything taller than twice its width, or wider than eight times its height, is refused with a note on how to crop it.
  • There are two slots: one for light backgrounds and an optional one for dark backgrounds. If you only upload the first, residents using dark mode see your logo on a small white panel so it stays readable.
  • If your logo is a symbol without your name in it, turn on "Show the name beside the logo". With no logo at all, your company’s initials appear in your brand color, with your name beside them.
  • Seayora’s own mark stays on the left of every portal. It is not removable: residents pay rent and sign leases here and should always be able to see whose software holds their payments and records.

Name, color and welcome note

  • The company name defaults to the business name on your account. Type a different one if residents know you by another name.
  • Your brand color fills the badge with your initials when there is no logo. The letters on it are chosen automatically for contrast.
  • The welcome note has a heading and up to 600 characters. It appears on every resident’s home screen exactly as you type it — keep it to what residents need: how to reach you, when rent is due, what to do in an emergency.

Your office’s details

Add your office phone, an after-hours emergency line, an email address, your website and your office hours. Residents can tap a phone number to call, an email address to write, and the website to open it. Leave any of them blank to leave it off. Every one of your residents sees them, so use your office’s numbers, not a personal one.

Only behind sign-in

Your brand appears only after a resident signs in, on seayora.com and in the Seayora apps. Someone who is not signed in always sees Seayora on its own. There is no public page with your logo and no way to put the portal on your own web address. That is deliberate. A public branded page would let anyone who signs up claim to be a management company and show residents a convincing page with their own phone number on it. A portal on another web address would teach residents to type their Seayora password somewhere Seayora does not control. To send residents to the portal, link to seayora.com. They see your brand as soon as they sign in.

Who can change it

The company’s owner, and teammates whose access includes company settings. Every change asks for a one-time code, and closing your company’s account deletes the brand and the logo.
