Seayora on Apple Watch and Wear OS
Connect an Apple Watch or a Wear OS watch, see what needs you and reply to messages from your wrist, put Seayora on your watch face — and why paying, signing and approving stay on your phone.
Seayora runs on Apple Watch and on Wear OS watches (Galaxy Watch, Pixel Watch and the rest). On your wrist it is a glance and a reply: the one figure that matters for your account, what needs you, your messages with a reply in a word or by voice, and today’s work with directions. Everything bigger stays on your phone.
Connecting a watch
- Apple Watch: install Seayora from the Watch app on your iPhone (Available Apps) or from the App Store on the watch. Open it on the watch and, with your iPhone nearby and signed in to Seayora, it connects on its own.
- Wear OS: install Seayora from the Play Store on the watch. Open it and, with your Android phone nearby and signed in to Seayora, it connects on its own.
- No phone nearby, or an iPhone with a Wear OS watch? The watch shows a six-character code. Open Seayora on any signed-in device — Tools → Watch in the app, or seayora.com/watch on the web — and enter it. You are shown the watch’s name and what it will be able to read before anything is connected.
Every time a watch is connected we email you, so a watch you did not connect is never a surprise.
What it shows
Your watch screens depend on your account type, the same way your app tabs do. Every account has Messages and Needs you one tap from the first page.

On the watch face
Add Seayora to a watch face as a complication, or (on Wear OS) as a Tile one swipe from the face. There are two: your account’s one figure — rent collected, today’s stops, what you owe — drawn as a ring, and how many messages are unread. They refresh about every half hour and whenever you open the app.
Answering a message
Open a conversation to see its last few messages — a catch-up, not the whole history. Reply by dictating, by typing on the watch, or with a quick reply. Quick replies commit you to nothing you would have to check a schedule for:
- Got it, thanks.
- On my way.
- Running a little late — sorry.
- I will call you shortly.
- Can't talk right now — I will reply soon.
- I am outside.
- All finished here.
A quick reply is sent in the language you read it in. What you dictate is sent exactly as you said it.
What a watch will not do
Paying, signing and approving stay on your phone — a watch has no app lock in front of it.
Your phone’s app lock protects Seayora when somebody else is holding your phone. A watch has no such lock, so on a watch you can reply, mark a conversation read and acknowledge a repair — things you can correct afterwards — but paying rent, signing a lease and approving an application or a proposal are not offered at all. Each of those has an "Open on phone" button that takes you to the same screen on your phone.
A watch face is seen by whoever is next to you, so the watch never shows an email address, shows people by first name, and only shows the text of a message when you have "Message previews" turned on in your chat appearance settings.
Hiding amounts
In the watch app’s Settings, "Hide amounts" shows every dollar figure as dots, on the watch and on its watch face. It belongs to that watch rather than your account, because it is about who can see that particular wrist.
When it cannot reach us
A watch loses its phone and its Wi-Fi often. When it cannot refresh, it keeps showing the last thing it loaded and says how old it is — it does not blank the screen. If one part of your account cannot be read, that part says "Couldn’t check" rather than showing nothing: "nothing needs you" and "we could not check" are very different facts.
Removing a watch
Tools → Watch in the app, or seayora.com/watch, lists every watch connected to your account with when it last checked in. Remove one and it is disconnected at once — including a watch you no longer have. Signing out on the phone that connected a watch signs that watch out too, and "Sign out of every device" reaches every watch. A watch unused for 60 days needs connecting again.
