One roommate should not have to float the entire rent and then chase everyone else for reimbursement. On Seayora each roommate pays their own portion directly, and the landlord sees the total compiled automatically.
How splitting works
- Each roommate pays their portion from their own account
- ACH bank transfer is free; a credit card carries a surcharge shown before paying, and a debit card is taken at par
- Each roommate can set up their own AutoPay
- The landlord sees one compiled total, not four partial payments to reconcile
- Each roommate has their own payment history and receipts
- On-time payments can count toward each roommate's own credit reporting
Why it matters for credit
Because each roommate pays under their own account, each can opt into rent reporting individually and build their own credit history from their own on-time payments — rather than only the person whose name is on the bank transfer getting the benefit.

Can each roommate opt into rent reporting separately?
Yes. Each roommate pays from their own account and opts in individually. Payments are not yet furnished to the credit bureaus, so nothing is reported today.
What does it cost?
