How long do changes stay unlocked after I enter the code?

Ten minutes, counted from the moment the code was accepted, and the screen shows the time remaining. The window does not extend while you work, so a long form may ask you again — your entries are kept and the save carries on once you confirm. Changing your password or signing out your other devices ends the window immediately.

How long you stay signed in

By default you stay signed in for as long as you keep using Seayora. A browser signs you out after 24 hours without use, and the Seayora app after 60 days without use — so opening the app once a month to pay rent keeps you signed in, and nobody is thrown back to the sign-in page halfway through something.

Under Settings → Security → “Sign out automatically after” you can make it stricter — 1 hour, 8 hours, 24 hours, 7 days or 30 days. That time is counted from when each device first signed in, however much you use it in between, and choosing a shorter one also ends older sessions within about a minute. On a phone, the app lock (a PIN or pattern, with Face ID or a fingerprint over it) is the way to keep the app private without signing in again.

If you run a contractor team, you can set the same rule for everyone on it, and require two-factor for the team, under “Team sign-in rules” — in Settings → Sign-in security on the website, and in your business settings in the app. When the team’s time and a person’s own time differ, the shorter one applies.
