QuickBooks Online Integration

How to connect QuickBooks Online, what data syncs, and how to verify results — with Seayora’s non-affiliation with Intuit made clear.

If you keep books in QuickBooks Online, you can connect it to Seayora to import, migrate, or synchronize your accounting data alongside your jobs and payments.

Connecting

From Accounting Settings, choose the QuickBooks integration and authorize through Intuit’s secure sign-in (OAuth). You grant access only to the data you approve and can revoke it any time from your settings or within Intuit.

What can sync

  • Chart of accounts.
  • Customers and vendors.
  • Items and services.
  • Invoices, estimates, and bills.
  • Payments and transactions, subject to what your plan exposes.

Verify and back up

Migration and sync are never perfect — records may map differently, omit historical detail, or create duplicates. Reconcile a trial balance and spot-check key records, and keep your own backup until you’ve confirmed results. Seayora is not liable for data loss, mismapping, or discrepancies.

Independence from Intuit

Seayora is an independent company and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Intuit Inc. “Intuit,” “QuickBooks,” and “QuickBooks Online” are trademarks of Intuit Inc. Your QuickBooks use remains governed by Intuit’s terms and privacy policy.

Reconnecting after a disconnect

If you revoke access or the connection expires, you can reconnect at any time by going through authorization again. Reconnecting doesn’t duplicate historical data automatically — a fresh sync only pulls what’s changed since the last successful connection.

Which system is the source of truth

Decide up front whether QuickBooks or Seayora is your primary system of record, and try to enter new transactions in one place rather than both — entering the same invoice in two systems is the most common source of duplicates.

Frequently asked questions

Is a QuickBooks subscription required to connect?

Yes — you need an active QuickBooks Online account of your own to authorize the connection. Seayora connects to your existing subscription; it doesn’t provide QuickBooks itself.

Does the sync run automatically or do I trigger it?

Depending on configuration, syncing can run on a schedule or be triggered manually — check your integration settings for the current behavior.

Will connecting QuickBooks slow down Seayora?

No — syncing runs in the background and doesn’t affect the performance of the rest of the platform while you work.

Does the integration work with QuickBooks Desktop?

The integration connects to QuickBooks Online specifically, through Intuit’s official API — QuickBooks Desktop isn’t connected the same way and would need a different migration path.
